Creative uses for snow tools

Some of you may think this is a picture of us washing off our snow scraper. Then you realize it's me, and that would be a far to obvious answer to what this picture really is.


Let me take you back to last Saturday. We took our glass and plastic to be recycled and the tub was pretty dirty. We knew it was going to rain that afternoon so we left the bin outside so the rain could wash it out. The next day we go outside to check on some of our plants and realize just how much it rained the night before.



This is a very full tub for less than 24 hours....just how much rain? Let's use the snow scraper to measure.





That's a lot of rain.
The official count was over 8 inches. I am used to measure snowfall, not rain fall in multiple inches.
At least we found a good use for our snow scraper.
